AD-38: Scott Wilk to Formally Announce Assembly Candidacy on Wednesday


Scott Wilk, College of the Canyons Board of Trustee and small businessman, will be announcing his intentions to run for the 38th Assembly District. The 38th District is an open seat because Assemblyman Cameron Smyth (R-Santa Clarita) is subject to term limits.

After having been endorsed by incumbent Assemblyman Cameron Smyth last week, Wilk has to be considered the front-runner in this race.


Should California Change to a Part-Time Legislature?

Why California needs a Citizen Legislature once again.

NO, California is too complex a society and this like the “failed” California term limit law will give more political power to the public employee unions and other special interests.

Besides, who would bother to serve for $18K a year.

I won’t be signing this initiative and certainly won’t be voting for this proposal.
